Reopening of Porta Marina Superiore and suspension of Pompeii ruins closing day

The reopening of the archaeological site of Pompeii of the recent weeks has seen an important increase in tourist flows. In order to facilitate access in the site from 7 June, is foreseen the suspension of the closing day on Monday for the whole summer period and the reopening of the entrance of Porta Marina Superiore which is in addition to the already operational gates of Piazza Esedra and Piazza Anfiteatro. On the other hand, the ticket purchase procedures and the anticovid rules in force so far implemented within the area remain unchanged.
